First Female Flyboy Joins Troupe
Members of the Houston Flyboy Team
The famous Flyboys of Flag Troupe Houston recognized its members and volunteers last month, including its first female member.
These ceremonies followed their recent appearances at two major fundraisers in Texas: the WEBB Party in San Antonio, an annual fundraiser for the San Antonio AIDS Foundation, and the Bunnies on the Bayou Easter Sunday charity fundraiser.
After recognizing promotions within its group, the troupe inducted Mo Hendrix into the group as Flyboy 22. Hendrix fulfilled the requirements for membership by performing as a flag dancer at the Bunnies on the Bayou event on Easter Sunday.
Present at the ceremony were Christian Rogers and Bruce Coy, representatives from Bunnies on the Bayou, and Dale Miller, Houston Pride liaison for the last three years. The Houston Flyboys are scheduled to appear at the Houston Pride Parade on June 25 and at the San Antonio Pride Festival on July 2.
