Throughout! Houston’s GLBT History

Repealing Anti-GLBT Ordinances
The Heritage Society Tea Room presents a discussion with Judge Phyllis Randolph Frye at 7 p.m. about the ordinances dating back to 1904 used to prohibit dressing in clothing of the opposite sex—the last of which was repealed in 1980. heritagesociety.org

Eden: A Pride Girl Party
The third annual event dedicated to the women of Houston’s LGBT community supports the Lesbian Health Initiative. It may be a girl’s party, but they’ve opened the doors to anyone who wants to attend and support the event. pridehouston.org

Rock the Runway
Completely redesigned, Rock the Runway will feature Houston’s hottest models in this summer’s latest styles of swimwear, underwear, and everything else. Free and open to the public at Audi Central Houston. Must be 21+ to drink. pridehouston.org

LGBT Pride Shabbat
Keshet Houston and Congregation Beth Yeshurun welcome Shabbat and celebrate Jewish leadership in the LGBT equality movement. Service in the Freedman-Levitt Sanctuary, followed by dinner in Stein Hall. Wonderland Houston

The 37th Houston LGBT Pride Festival and Pride Parade
This is it—the big event! Come join more than 425,000 to celebrate who we are. Now in downtown Houston, the festival begins at noon and the parade begins as the sun sets at 8:30 p.m. Parade marshals this year are Britt Kornmann, Ryan Levy, and Anna Eastman. pridehouston.org
Official Pride After Party
The party doesn’t end until the wee hours of Sunday morning at South Beach. The only event sanctioned by Pride Houston as an official after party. sobehouston.com
Bearracuda at Ripcord

Heroes Tea Dance
The parade may have ended, but the party goes on. F Bar hosts the official closing party of Houston Pride Week, starting Sunday at 5 p.m. pridehouston.org
