FOOTBALLERS’ WIVES Series 5 on Thursday 23 February on ITV1

The players tighten their studs for the forthcoming games while their wives hit the beauty salons to prepare themselves for the most glamorous football season ever. But the ghost of Conrad looms large. Amber Gates (LAILA ROUASS), Lucy Milligan (HELEN LATHAM) and Shannon Lawson (SARAH BARRAND) are the queens of the players’ lounge but a glamorous new arrival is about to ruffle all of their feathers.

Earls Park has a new chairman, the ex-rock star Garry Ryan (NICHOLAS BALL) and he’s a million miles from the straight talking Hazel Bailey. But Roger (JESSE BIRDSALL) soon realises he doesn’t always agree with his new boss’s way of doing business. Garry opens the new Conrad Gates Memorial Stand in front of the players, their wives and the press – promising this will be a winning season.
