Sheriff Garcia Statement Regarding Campaign Mailer from City Council Candidate Eric Dick

Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia released the following statement today regarding a campaign mail piece featuring his photo that was sent out by City Council Candidate Eric Dick.

“Recently, a mail piece was sent to Houston residents that seems to suggest I have endorsed and am involved with a fundraiser for City Council Candidate Eric Dick,” said Sheriff Adrian Garcia. “I want to make it clear that I have not endorsed Mr. Dick and am not a sponsor of this fundraiser. I very rarely ! make endorsements for city council races and I had no knowledge of this mail piece prior to it hitting mailboxes.”

This is the position that former GLBT Political Caucus President Jenifer Rene Pool is running to fill.
