Don’t Let Me Go
Many things challenge our relationships, so it is a miracle when a relationship that started in high school lasts later in life. In Don’t Let Me Go, we meet Nate and Adam, a yin-yang couple with big plans for their lives. Nate graduates first, and Adam insists Nate follow his dreams to an off-Broadway life. A long-distance relationship is more challenging than Nate ever imagined, and he starts a blog to vent his frustrations. What ensues is a story of bullying and hate in a modern high school. Of course, true love wins out in the end, and the boys go off to begin their adult lives. Local Houston author J.H. Trumble has created characters you can love, and he puts them in settings we all know. This gay boy romance is worth a read. Kensington (kensingtonbooks.com). —Review: Angel Curtis
