Adanowsky: ADA
Adan Jodorowsky’s new album is a throwback to the early works of icons like Prince and Off the Wall-era Michael Jackson. To capture this particular sound, Adanowsky collaborated with the Polycarpe brothers and played everything live in the studio, using only equipment made before 1975. The resulting sound is a whole lot of soul mixed with club synths on “Dancing to the Radio” and “Would You Be Mine.” Everloving Records (everloving.com). —Jed Ocot
