BOX 13 ArtSpace is pleased to present three exhibitions opening July 22, 2017, 7 – 9 PM. In the Downstairs Front BOX, The Center for Imaginative Cartography & Research, a collaborative project between Erik Sultzer and Emily Halbardier, present the exhibition “Through Here” that explores the way we navigate spaces, both physical and psychological, and the signs that guide us. In the exhibition, “Things We Used To Know,” five artists (Ariel Lavery, Christopher M. Lavery, Matthew Weedman, Jason Pearce Willome, and Ethan Worden) from across the country engage in explorations regarding the scale of the self in relation to everything outside of it in the Downstairs Back BOX & Upstairs BOX. Part window display and part peep show, Melinda Laszczynski creates a installation of found objects, assemblage and cast off studio material in “Milk Money Honey” in the Window BOX.
The exhibitions continue through September 9, 2017. An Opening Reception will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 7 – 9PM at BOX 13 ArtSpace, 6700 Harrisburg, Houston, TX 77011.
