Making cherished memories with friends and family is the oldest holiday tradition, one the Houston Heights Association keeps alive with its Holiday Home Tour. Scheduled for Friday, Dec. 2 from 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 3 from 3-9 p.m., the annual event will feature homes near and along the 1300 block of Cortlandt Street, where celebrants will have an opportunity to tour select holiday-decorated homes while being entertained by local musicians providing the sounds of the season. The Association’s 2016 Holiday Home Tour – Jingle Bell Block – will kick off from the Heights Fire Station at 12th and Yale and promises a memorable evening of festive decorations, music and nostalgia. Tickets to the 2016 Houston Heights Home & Garden Tour are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the tour. Advance tickets may be purchased online at houstonheights.org and will be available for pick-up at the Heights Fire Station at 107 W. 12th St. at Yale on the days of the tour. Tickets will not be mailed. Advance tickets also are available at the following Houston Heights retailers: Buchanan’s Native Plants, 611 E. 11th St.; Jubilee, 325 W. 19th St.; and August Antiques, 803 Heights Blvd. On the days of the tour, tickets may be purchased at any of the vendor locations or the fire station.
