The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc. will host the Community Fun Run/Walk for Heroes on Saturday, October 15, 2022. This event will take place at Lakeland Village Festival Park in Bridgeland, Houston’s top-selling master planned community from The Howard Hughes Corporation. The 5K walk/10K run around Josey Lake and Park kicks off at 8 a.m., followed by a children’s 1K run at 9 a.m. The race honors Bridgeland’s veterans and active service members, and will include vendor booths, entertainment and activities for children. Event proceeds will benefit the many initiatives of The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc., which include raising funds to build a $1.5MM Veterans Memorial, supporting the immediate needs of veterans living within the community, the Veterans Memorial Day, Veterans Day festivals, Thanksgiving turkeys for veterans and educating children on the sacrifices of veterans and the cost of freedom.
