Jason Boland and the Stragglers is a group of guys from Oklahoma who put on a high-energy, eclectic show that blends influences such as jazz, folk, Western swing, country and rock into a refreshingly different, down-home country sound. Their latest is the album, ‘Rancho Alto,’ of which Boland says, “It may fit in with some other types of music, like Americana maybe, but I’m not ready to give up on the idea that country music can be relevant.”
