On New Years Day at noon, the Rothko Chapel honors the start of the new year with the sound of crystal bowls resonating throughout the Chapel, led by yoga teacher and Bayou Bliss Yoga founder Dana Shamas. Begin the year with a fresh intention through the cleansing vibrations of the bowls.

Pay what you can, suggested value is $10.

This is a very popular event and seating fills up quickly the day of the event. Preferential seating is given to those who register online in advance and will be available the day of the event on a first-come, first-served basis.

Doors open 30 minutes before the program begins. There will be no late seating after 12pm. Audio of the program will be streamed outside on the plaza and meditation mats made available for those who are unable to be seated inside.
