Celebrate artist Julia Gartrell’s site-specific installation for the Moody’s Platform series presented in collaboration with the Humanities Research Center at Rice University. For this iteration in the series, Gartrell is responding to the topic of “repair” by developing a site-specific sculpture that functions as an interactive repair station as well as the site of affiliated hands-on workshops. In addition to seeing the sculptural installation, guests will be able to hear from the artist and are invited to bring their own small items for repair.

Tables and tools will be on site and the artist will be available to offer additional insight and assistance.

Attendees will enjoy refreshments and light bites while engaging in manual activities and multilayered conversations around the theme of “repair” during this open workshop.
