The Project Row Houses’ (PRH) Summer Studios residency was developed in 2006 to provide an opportunity for emerging artists to create and exhibit work that responds to, engages with, and/or is reflective of community. In 2015, the program evolved to include a mentoring component which is currently being led by Libby Bland and Sarah Garcia, the 2019 KGMCA-PRH Fellows.
Summer Studios is open to artists who are interested in making art in an urban community setting, engaging with the PRH and Third Ward community, and interacting with established Houston-based artists.
Summer Studios 2019 installations will be on display from Saturday, August 10 through Sunday, September 15, 2019.
