Texas Tourette Symposium: What Makes Them Tic?

Friday, February 24, 2017 @ 7:45 am - 3:45 pm

$100 – $125

Join us on February 24, 2017, for a two-track educational program that will review the latest diagnostic and treatment options for Tourette syndrome (TS) and associated co-morbidities. During this daylong event, today’s leading specialists will present updates on research into TS genetics and pathophysiology, and provide information about helping individuals with TS and their families navigate the educational system.

Aside from clinical-based conversation, this program includes a track specifically for educators and families affected by TS that will cover medical, behavioral, and classroom strategies for recognizing and managing symptoms, as well as a panel discussion with local and national experts in the field.

The target audience for this informational symposium includes:
• Track One: Physicians, psychologists, nurses, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in the following specialties: adult and pediatric neurology, adult and pediatric psychiatry, family practice, internal medicine, and pediatrics
• Track Two: Parents, family members, patients, school counselors, personnel, and other educators
