Houston-born Paul Wall’s unadulterated love for his city is part of what makes his music great. His H-Town sound helped give rise to the Southern rap aesthetic, and he continues to collaborate with other rappers both in and outside the genre. Genesis Blu, one of Houston’s rising rap revolutionaries, is opening for Paul Wall. Named Houston Press’ Best Rapper of 2016, Genesis Blu is “versatile, hard hitting, and smooth with swagger.”

The music of these two artists draws from the city itself – by turns tenacious and driving, genuine and inspiring. Come and be a part of this irrepressible celebration of our Houston spirit!

Thursday Night Concerts are free to attend and are open to the public. Blankets, lawn chairs and picnics are welcome; food, beer and wine are available for purchase at The Lake House.
