DACAMERA continues its new Hearing Color, Seeing Time virtual series at the Menil Collection* *on November 17 with “Music and Time: Feldman in the Ancient Galleries.”

With a concert grand dramatically installed in the Menil’s ancient art galleries, Sarah Rothenberg performs Morton Feldman’s last piano work, Palais de Mari (1986), surrounded by rare objects from the same era as the ruined Mesopotamian palace of 2400 B.C.E., which inspired Feldman’s composition. The mesmerizing cinematic performance interweaves avant-garde music with ancient artworks and artifacts.
